Theo Anderson graduated from Temple University with a BA in political science and discovered photography while attending graduate school at Lehigh University. Self taught, his work is represented in numerous private and public collections.
A master printer, Anderson designs, prints and binds his editioned artists books under the moniker, wllburedltions. “By-passing traditional printing and publishing allows me to express my work without compromise and ilmitation,” says Anderson. Anderson has published GUN CRIMES (2011), MOTOR HOTEL (2011), WHITE SANDS (2011), COCA-COLA (2012) and SNAFU (2012).
Anderson’s ongoing work CADILLAC provides the context for his books. “The photographs are not so much about place as they are about transformation. The context of everyday American life is used in my visual exploration. The search began in the early twenty-first century and is expressed in a myriad of episodes that inform my life.” says Anderson.
An accomplished photographer, Anderson creates compelling photographs for editorial, advertising and institutional clients. Working without crew and supplemental iighting, Anderson creates beautiful portraits and captures the essence of situations with little interruption. Anderson has traveled the world for edltoriai and advertising clients Including: Air Products, Lehigh University, AT&T, The Atlantic, Carpenter, LCCC, Penn State, Alvernia University, The Swain School, Rutgers, SPARK, Scientific American and Vossloh. An astute artist, he combines his sensibility as a fine art photographer with thirty years experience in situations ranging from photographing the core of a nuclear reactor to a private audience with the Dali Lama.
Anderson resides in Eastern Pennsylvania and works on projects for himself and select clients.
