Let's Go Shoot at Chanticleer Garden!

Meet up with fellow club members outdoors for a photoshoot

Join your fellow club members for a photo shoot at Chanticleer Garden.Chanticleer Garden is a forty-eight-acre botanical garden built on the grounds of the Rosengarten estate in Wayne, Pennsylvania. It retains a domestic scale and is welcoming to visitors for relaxation, walking, and picnics.

After meeting at 10:00 AM near the Ticket Office, club members are free to explore the gardens individually. Water fountains and bottle filling stations are available in the gardens, but food is not, so bring your own snacks.

Recommended gear: Macro and wide angle lenses, medium zoom lens, tripod, cable release, and polarizing filter. A small light modifier (diffuser or reflector) may also be useful. You can hand hold, but make sure you adjust your settings so that the speed is high enough to maintain focus. Jacki Spearly can provide help in setting up shots.

Photographers are required to sign a Photography Guidelines and Tripod Use form, which stipulates that pictures taken will not be used for commercial purposes. Tripods are permitted, and the form can be signed upon arrival or you can download from their website prior to arrival. Bring your signed copy with you.

Participants will need to purchase an admission ticket ($10) for themselves and make a parking reservation for their car.

Parking at Chanticleer is very limited and on a first come first serve basis. There is no parking in the surrounding neighborhood and walking on Church Road is unsafe, so please make your reservation early.

Click here to get your tickets and car reservation. The admission tickets are not timed, but the (free) parking reservations are and can be made up to four weeks in advance. Please make sure you also register with the club using the button in the upper right side as always! We need to know how may people will be attending.

This is a live, in-person event. All registrants must comply with the LVPC Member’s Liability Waiver and Event Agreement. You will have to accept the terms of this Agreement during the registration process; These terms can be reviewed by clicking here. All participants must follow the CDC COVID health guidelines in place at the time of this event.
