Biography:
Alan Murphy, originally from England and Ireland, developed a passion for birds at a very young age. After moving to the U.S. in the early 1980s, he began using a camera and telephoto lens to aid in bird identification, a hobby that quickly evolved into a lifelong passion and, eventually, a full-time career. Alan’s work has earned numerous awards and graced nearly 100 magazine covers, including prestigious publications such as National Geographic and Life magazine. He is the author of several highly regarded educational eBooks and videos on bird photography and operates a full-time workshop business, traveling two weeks each month to lead small group sessions across the United States.
